Our resident old fart had some wise, harsh and truthful words for me. You all did. Mainly him, cause he threatened to slap me with his AARP membership.
I realize that my mannerisms are getting a bit lame and the rage act is useless, I realize that there are some/many/a few/a dozen/imaginary people who despite the baggage did appreciate that when I wasn't being a moron, I was being a brilliant moron.
So there is that. Expect...well, not much. I'm still going to be very brutal and borderline politically correct, thats just me. But without the childish crap and other nonsense. I think I can do better.
I like being here. I like engaging here. I like burning absurd amounts of time here. I wish for that to continue in a better way. Tis a shame that it took well, regular grade BS to put me here. But such is the way things are, I can treat this as a chance to be less of an elitist ass and well, maybe more of a reasonable ass.

For the record I think the photographer's replies were incredibly condescending and you had every right to dismiss them. This is pure speculation, but I also think the only reason this turned into what it did is because Jalopnik promoted that guy and the comment you dismissed had been shared to the FP.
Whatever the case, at least you learned why being a douche is sometimes bad... I'm sure you'll get followed again by P. George or someone at some point. I know many of us on oppo still like you, and some of the one's who proclaimed they don't were only jumping on a bandwagon—their fault for being soft. I'm glad you decided to stick around.

Good. We like having you here. I'm still looking forward to the day when I spark your interest and you "behave like an ass" to me. I like asses. Especially the reasonable ones.
I think we can all learn lessons from this "incident" about what not to do. And move on.

Take note because this as is reasonable as I might ever be.
Matt has his reasons to scape goat me and what happened has happened, the line has been thrown out there and I'm just the guy that had to test it.
I don't have as thick a skin as I wish, but I don't care for the detractors. I shouldn't. Its the internet. We have all been there, none can claim otherwise. Doesn't excuse my behavior of late and if I can't admit that on a freaking site what good am I anyways?
Water under a massive bridge now. Don't expect me to be around as much, thats what honestly pushed me into trolling and dicking around more than coming up with insightful and useful stuff. I have to find that balance between snark, wisdom, wit and asshattery and that sounds much easier in my head than I think it would be in practice.
